Subway Tile Style

Tuesday, September 30th, 2014

At Champion Floors one of our favorite trends in bathrooms and kitchens is subway tile. These days you turn to any home makeover show and you will see kitchens being redone with subway tile backsplash and bathrooms with subway tile walls. This tile has become so popular in homes, restaurants, and hotels because of its timeless look.

Subway tile is versatile, easy to maintain, and durable enough to handle wear and tear on a daily basis. It can also be installed in different patterns to help you achieve different looks; brick-joint, grid, and grid with accent tiles are the most popular ways to install subway tile.

One of out favorite subway tiles is Rittenhouse Square by Daltile. This tile comes in 10 different neutral colors in matte or semi-gloss. If your feeling wild or want to add something fun to your home it can be made-to-order in 25 bright colors including sunflower yellow and cobalt blue!

If your looking to add style or durability to your bathroom or kitchen look no further than subway tile! Visit Champion Floors in Schertz or Universal City to check out this tile and see other wonderful products for your home.

National Coffee Day “Recipe”

Monday, September 29th, 2014

It’s National Coffee Day!

To ease your craving today we have decided to give you our favorite “recipe” for a cup of coffee and a fashionable home.

To start you need coffee. We love “Coffee Brown” a White Oak Hardwood floor from L&M. Dark wood floors have become a new trend in the flooring industry, they really add a modern, high-class twist to any home design.

Next you need some sugar. Dark floors aren’t only trending with hard surfaces but in carpet too. This carpet is Soft Whisper III in “Brown Sugar” by Mohawk. While the dark color can hide spills and messes you won’t have to worry too much because this carpet contains a Scotchgardâ„¢ Protector with Advanced Repel Technology which provides repellency to liquids.

Finally you have to add the cream. One of our favorite creamy floors is an Alterna Tile by Armstrong called Durango- Cream. This floor is not only gorgeous but also extremely durable. While it gives you the look of ceramic tile, Alterna is a softer and warmer flooring choice.

Visit our Champion Floors locations in Schertz or Universal City to see these and other great products!
